MLS Multiwave Laser Therapy
Multiwave laser technology combining pain relief with anti-inflammatory healing. Non-surgical orthopedic care in South Florida.
Deep tissue repair without a needle or an incision
What is MLS laser therapy?
MLS stands for Multiwave Locked System, and the “locked” part is what distinguishes it. Two wavelengths, 808nm and 905nm, are fired in synchrony rather than one after the other — one working at depth on inflammation and repair, the other cutting pain transmission quickly. Older low-level lasers emit continuously or in pulses. MLS does both at once, which is why the response tends to be stronger and more consistent than earlier generations of the technology.
Clinically shown to:
- Reduce inflammation
- Ease pain
- Improve circulation to the area
- Speed soft-tissue healing
- Support recovery after surgery
- Reduce how much anti-inflammatory or opioid medication is needed
What a course looks like
Built on established orthopedic laser protocols.
- Acute injuries — six to eight sessions
- Chronic injuries — ten to twelve sessions
- After surgery — six to ten sessions
- Each session — around ten minutes
- Downtime — none, and no restrictions afterwards
How does MLS work?
- Two wavelengths, two jobs
- 808nm reaches deep, working on inflammation and stimulating the tissue
- 905nm acts fast on pain by interrupting how it is transmitted
- Firing them in synchrony improves both penetration and consistency
- What it feels like
Almost nothing — no heat, no vibration, no discomfort. The pain simply recedes across a course of sessions.
Who is it for?
It suits orthopedic and sports patients dealing with:
- Tendonitis — rotator cuff, patellar or Achilles
- Bursitis
- Arthritis in the knee, shoulder, hip or spine
- Muscle strains and ligament sprains
- Plantar fasciitis
- Nerve problems such as neuropathy and neuritis
- Swelling and pain after surgery
- Chronic overuse injuries
- Soft-tissue injuries that will not heal

Common Patient Questions
Yes. It is FDA-cleared, nothing breaks the skin, and applied correctly there are no known adverse effects.
Because the laser is one part of an orthopedic plan rather than the whole offer. It is built into treatment plans, post-operative recovery, regenerative protocols and return-to-sport pathways, and every session is supervised by a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Patients commonly notice the pain easing within two to four sessions, with movement, swelling and recovery improving alongside. It works best combined with guided rehabilitation and, where appropriate, regenerative treatment.
Pain relief without medication, less inflammation, better circulation, faster tissue repair and improved movement — and for some patients, less reliance on drugs or surgery.
It can help — easing arthritic pain, calming joint inflammation and improving movement. It is one component of a wider plan, not a cure for arthritis.
Yes — FDA-cleared and used widely for pain, inflammation and tissue healing, provided it is delivered by someone trained to use it.
